Northern Neck VCAP & Shoreline Support

Virginia's Conservation Assistance Program (VCAP) offers grant funding for people to turn their lawns and land into native plant sanctuaries: rain gardens, pollinator habitats, and stormwater management. We can't do the whole program for you, but we can do a virtual and in-person site visit and draw up an elementary planting design with plant suggestions. With this in hand you can contact local plant sellers and landscape contractors to receive a cost estimate - a critical part of the VCAP application.

Just need help figuring out what plants can thrive in your yard? Periodic tidal inundation? Salt spray? Temporary floods from rain? There's a plant or landscape for that and we'll be happy to help.

 

This service is free though any donation that a landowner or caretaker can provide greatly helps continue the work!
